Community Outreach - Girls Inc. x The Pizza Press

I coordinated The Pizza Press’s participation in Girls Inc. of Orange County’s Smart Ups, an entrepreneurial camp designed to empower young girls in grades 3rd through 6th. As part of our commitment to supporting local communities and future leaders, we provided meals for over 120 attendees during this year’s event.

Smart Ups is a hands on business camp where students develop their own business concepts through a curriculum that covers profit and loss, marketing, negotiation, teamwork, and more. The program concludes with the Shark Tank Showcase, where the girls pitch their ideas and prototypes to a panel of “Sharks” in a real world presentation setting.

Being part of this program was an opportunity to contribute to a space where young students learn valuable skills like teamwork, leadership, and creative problem solving. Providing meals allowed us to fuel their creativity while they collaborated, built ideas, and gained the confidence to present them.

This event reinforced my passion for supporting initiatives that inspire the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs, and I am proud to have helped create a positive and empowering experience for every participant.
